Upon turning 18, a youth member must successfully complete Safeguard Youth Training (SYT) and submit an adult application for manual processing of this "no fee" transfer. An 18-year-old may continue to participate while their adult application and CBC are processed, but this period shall not exceed 30 days. These individuals are subject to the same youth protection policies and guidelines as all adult Scouters even during this registration transition period.
Before you do anything, make certain advancement records are complete, all awards are approved and awarded.
A Youth to Adult Transfer can only be processed manually at this time.
Please complete and adult application and return to your district executive (OR Dawn.Niece@Scouting.org) to initiate the youth to adult transfer process.

NOTE TO EAGLE CANDIDATES: An Eagle Candidate should transfer into the Adult (UP) Unit Participant scouting position until after a successful BOR and the Eagle Application has been certified by National. After National certification the unit may use position manager to change adult scouting position as desired.
