How do we record service hours for Scouts?

As a member of the Greater New York Councils, it's important to keep track of your service hours. Whether you're a youth or registered adult, logging your hours is a crucial part of the scouting experience. Here's how to do it:

Step 1: Log in to your My.Scouting account. If you don't have one, create one by clicking "Create Account" and following the prompts.

Step 2: Once you're logged in, click on the "Menu" button in the top left corner of the screen.

Step 3: From the drop-down menu, select "Legacy Web Tools."

Step 4: Under "Legacy Web Tools," select "Service Hours."

Step 5: Click on "Log Service Hours" to begin recording your hours.

Step 6: Fill in the required fields, including the date of service, the number of hours worked, and a brief description of the service project.

Step 7: Click "Save" to record your hours.

It's important to note that service hours must be approved by a unit leader or designated representative before they can be officially recorded. This ensures that all service projects are legitimate and meet the standards of the Boy Scouts of America.

By following these simple steps, you can easily log your service hours and contribute to the greater good of your community. Thank you for your dedication to scouting and service!
